You have 3 options for providing feedback:
Vote for an existing Idea. The popularity of an Idea helps us understand its importance to our users.
Comment on an existing Idea. We want to hear your unique point of view.
Add a new Idea. If no existing Idea describes what you would like, add a new one!
When you Vote, Comment, or Add an idea you will also be subscribed to that Idea and will receive status updates. Please note that we may merge or rename Ideas for clarity. Thank you for your support and feedback, it is always appreciated!
This does not seem to be the right avenue for handling this situation. The STAAD idea portal is for proposing some significant enhancement that if implemented could offer the engineer a solution that overcomes a major hurdle so they can more efficiently help deliver the infrastructure project. What is not clear is the use case here and what is the inefficiency being solved? It seems that you have observed that the current implementation of the stretch tool is not consistent in some specific arrangement. Is that right? If so then that would suggest that there some correction in the logic to ensure that the tool is consistent in those specific conditions, and this idea closed. However, if you think there is a different tool that could be offered that performed some new action then this is the right place to register that idea. If so, please can you describe the action and use case and how that would help in delivering projects more efficently.
I would like to correct your statement. I presented this problem when I noted that the command for stretch beam did not work in all cases.
I have observed that It works in cases where one beam overlaps another, as long as it does not occur on the quadrant, i.e. 0°, 90°, 180°, 270°.
I have attempted to correct your statement by providing examples to support my observation, see my comments on 5/6/26 for CS0679673, Stretch Beam Doesn't Work on the Quadrant.
I will make a guess that the problem is in the program where there is division or multiplication by a trigonometric function, the function having produced a value of "0", i.e. cos 90°.

If my memory is correct, it appears that the original statement for the idea has been changed.
