Cold form section outside the standard library not designed in STAADpro as per IS801

STAADpro is not able to design cold form section outside the standard library or any user defined cold form section as per IS801. This is severe limitation as many users are using sections of their choice which are not in the library. This is especially for solar plant projects. Please provide support to user defined cold form section and HAT section. This was reported to development team many years ago based on industry feed back but still it is not implemented.

    Thank you for posting your idea. Please check your installation again as STAAD.Pro does support deign of HAT profiles to IS801. Refer to the help topic D8.C.1 Cross Sectional Properties in the section Indian Codes - Cold Formed Steel Design per IS 801-1975. If you want a shape that is not in the tables, then use the Database Manager to add them.
