RAM Connection Design (Typical User Connection)

STAAD RAM connection design module has two connection design function (except gusset).

First, BASIC connection.

Second, SMART connection.

Both function change/correct the values(like dimension, thickness etc..) from given template and also "USER specified connection template"

It is reasonable when engineer does not have any pre-given detail of connection.

However, if engineer have their own detail and if they want to use as they specify.

There's no way to use it (as it originally input) without modifying each connection as user wants.

So I ask you to "add function maintain using the detailed value" as user specifying.(including haunch)

You may refer to below screenshot.

Right : User specifying template

Left : Basic Connection(after applying at node)

Middle : Smart Connection(after applying at node)

Thank you for posting your idea. If I understand correctly, are you looking for some form of 'generic' connection type where you assign the template and it displays a dialog for you to enter some key dimensions for that specific connection such as the plate size and thickness and number of bolts? perhaps give an example of how you would see this work.
