Many thanks for posting this idea. Whilst it is good to add such suggestions, what would help its cause is by outlining the benefit this offers the designer in delivering a project. Are you looking at the label as a feature that is included in images that are then captured and included in a report, or validation of the relative positioning of the nodes, or some other process that improves delivering a project? With regard to the idea of moving overlapping labels, this is challenge that might not be obvious, but something to think about. The model and objects being referenced exist in a 3D space which is displayed in a 2D view by collapsing the model view into a display view. That means what might appear as a point is in fact an infinitely long line. The label location is at a specific position on that line. That means when the model is rotated, the label remains in a relative position to the model. However, if the label is moved, this will be to a new position in the 2D view and determining where this is in 3D space becomes indeterminate. Some logic could be determined, but I suspect that the effect could be that the labels are moved and a rotation of the model will result in them being located in vastly obscure locations resulting in a lower satisfaction.
I would also like it if, after entering "Node to Node Distance", I could move this dimension to the selected position so that it does not overlap with other information such as "Beam Number" or "Sections".
There should be a measure tool in which even if we measure inclined distance, it should show inclined distance as well as all 3 coordinate distances.
