Multiple Mass Models

A STAAD.Pro dynamic analysis currently supports solving models in which the results of all dynamic cases use eigen values determined from a single mass matrix.

This means currently STAAD.Pro cannot perform an analysis on a model where the considered mass is different in different load cases,

e.g. say a tank model needs to consider one case for a construction stage, where the tank is empty and would have one response and then a separate case that represents the structure in operation and where the tank is full. This would require a different mass condition and thus different dynamic response for each consideration. Currently this can only be achieved by creating multiple copies of the structure and manually combining the results.

This idea is to allow a single STAAD.Pro model to define multiple mass models and thus generate and use different eigen solutions which will mean that it is not necessary to manually create and maintain multiple STAAD models.
