Add a Plate Force Envelope to "Results along a Line Command".

When designing shear wall pier segments around an opening, it would be helpful to have an envelope of in-plane plate forces in addition to results for each combination. Selecting "envelope" from the load combinations does not change the values in the "Total Force" window.

Thank you for posting this idea. I am sure you appreciate that this utility is designed to report values associated with the current load case/combination. Tables like node displacement or member end force are designed to report values from the collection of load cases/combinations defined in the Results Setup.

I would suggest that a suggestion that might maintain the principles of the control and the behaviour of the program is to extend the reporting from this control to support when the selected load case is set to 'Envelope'. Currently the stresses are reported as zero, although I see that the Total Force is not set back to zero and still shows the values relevant to the last selected load case/combination. Some deeper thought will need to go into this to consider what should be reported for all the different stress types. I suspect that the control will need to be extended to include an addition column for the max positive and max negative results. Also when looking at an envelope of results what does each of Total Forces resolve? Is it the largest and smallest summaries considereing all the load cases? Or should this be set to zero to show that they have no meaning with an envelope?
