Inserting nodes on the curved beam should be made available.

Inserting node on the curved beam should be made available. Currently, it is not avialble . we have import the auto cad DXF to go ahead

    Than you for posting your idea. This is indeed an interesting proposal. As you know we do provide the curved beam as a modifier on a beam object. However this is very rarely used due to the restrictions that this introduces into a model. More often we find that the curve is represented by a series of straight segments. If the idea is to provide a tool that could do that given a starting and ending point (node) and some geometrical definition such as the radius, inclination and number of insertion points, would that meet you needs? If so then that might be done easily with a Macro and using the available OpenSTAAD functions.
