Report Header Needs Line for "Subject" - STAAD.Pro 2024

STAAD.Pro 2024 output data is published via the Reports module. That data for one structural model can be used to present different subjects. Unfortunately, the 2024 report pages do not include a line in the header to show the "SUBJECT" of that presentation. The reader is forced to move down through the pages to determine the subject of the report.

In STAAD.Pro 2022, the user was able to edit some of the header to show a subject. Thus, different reports for a single model could be presented and the reader could quickly distinguish the subject of the report he was reading.

For a large model, I have included many STAAD reports for a single model in the master design report for the project. Using earlier versions of STAAD, I could edit the header, which then showed a subject for each page of the report. If I had not been able to show subjects, then I would have had to manually enter a subject line on each page of each report to distinguish and make presentable for the reader.

As an example, one recent master report had 450 pages, and with about 20 to 30 STAAD output reports, consisting of maybe 200 pages. Lacking subjects, that master report would be difficult for the reader to use.

In STAAD.Pro 2024, I have not discovered how to add a subject line, unique for each report. STAAD.Pro 2024 needs a subject line that can be edited for each saved report.

    Thank you for posting this idea. We are encouraged to hear how the new reporting tool is being adopted in situations where the older implementation was struggling. We are certainly looking to continue in this development. There have been others who have suggested something similar, and this led to the introduction of the option to include a table of contents. I can See a benefit of being able to divide a large report into sections, but also include a method for including comment blocks that could help provide some context to the report data being produced. This is in our backlog.
