I'll add the following clarification: Let's say I'm viewing an elevation of a 20 ft high x 80 ft long masonry shear wall, and the wall has been meshed into 4 ft x 4 ft plates. Rather than cut a line along the base of the wall to determine stresses along it's length, it seems easier to just click on the plates where the color code indicates a high in-plane bending moment (Mxy?). Then I can design and space vertical rebar every 16" or 24" to resist that in-plane moment. Of course, I would also need to check that reinforcing for out-of-plane vertical bending.
Thank you for posting this idea. If I understand correctly, your idea is to provide a method to determine the total moments/forces for a partial range on a cutline. If so that would seem reasonable as perhaps an additional line in the Total Force sheet which would show the summary for any selection of rows in the Stresses sheet.
