Tau-b in Direct Analysis

The Direct analysis method provides a method to reduce the flexural stiffness of members by the value of tau-b. However in publications like the Canadian steel code S16, which also provides supports this analysis method, it also requires the axial stiffness of highly loaded members to also be reduced by the value of tau-b.

The idea is to provide an option in the direct analysis method to allow axial stiffnesses to also be reduced by the value of tau-b. This way both AISC and CISC publications are supported.
