Recently, I received a similar request from one of the users regarding the possibility of multiple time history load cases for vibrating equipment mounting structure, such as machine foundations and fan walls. For example, in the case of a vibrating machine foundation, they have two rotating machines mounted on the same foundation, and they wanted to simulate different scenarios, such as both machines operating together, either of the machine being switched off alternately , or both machines with a new set of input frequency and amplitude parameters. So they are generating multiple models with different Time History Load cases for the same purpose. A similar type of simulation is being performed for an industrial fan wall, where multiple fans are mounted on the same structure with different operating scenarios.
it sufficient that simply having a single model that can produce multiple results sets for different time history events conditions. This is required when we design a building for blast . i,e X direction Blast and Z dir blast . combination of this 2 with each other is not required at least for my case
Thank you for posting this idea. This is an idea we can add to the backlog. However, can you clarify if there are situations when you would need to combine the results from separate time history load cases or is it sufficient that simply having a single model that can produce multiple results sets for different time history events conditions?
